How to Refill Lexmark X2350 Ink Cartridges

Step 1

Open up the cover of your Lexmark printer. Turn the printer's power on. The cartridge holders should move to the center. Snap out the empty cartridge from its holder. Place the cartridge on paper towels.
Step 2

Insert the tip of the sharp knife under the cartridge top in several places, gently prying it away from the cartridge body. Then pull the top and remove it from the cartridge.
Step 3

Insert the pin into each of the refilling holes at the top of the cartridge body. Determine which color ink goes into each hole.
Step 4

Fill a syringe with 5 ml of colored ink. Insert the needle deep into the hole that belongs to that ink color. Slowly inject the ink until the sponge that is inside of the chamber becomes filled.
Step 5

Repeat the filling steps with the other ink colors. Use a new syringe with each color.
Step 6

Securely fasten the top back onto the cartridge using the heavy-duty tape.
Step 7

Turn the cartridge so the print head is facing downwards. Set it over the paper towels and leave it alone for at least an hour. The print head on the cartridge should not be in direct contact with the paper towels.
Step 8

Snap the cartridge back into its holder inside of the Lexmark printer. Close the printer top.

Skill: Moderately Easy

Ingredients:

* Bulk ink

* Sharp knife

* Paper towels

* 3 syringes

* Pin

* Heavy-duty tape

Tip: Leave the cartridge out overnight for best results. This will give the ink time to settle into the cartridge sponge.
Refill your cartridges when the ink level reaches low. Do not wait until the cartridge is empty because then your cartridge may no longer be able to print.
